Lynn H. Howerton, age 61, died on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010 following a brief illness. Born of Lynn Howerton and Joyce McKay Howerton, in Minneapolis, MN, Lynn, his mother and his sister moved to the Atlanta area in the early 50s. After service in the Air Force, Lynn became a renowned hair and makeup artist in the Washington, D.C. area and then in Atlanta. Later, Lynn also had an extremely successful and noted career as a window designer at J.P. Allen, in downtown Atlanta, where he worked for many years. In later years, Lynn settled in the Oxford, GA and worked as a packaging material designer. Lynn lived in the Oxford area until his death. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Howerton, of Marietta, GA. Arrangements by Cremation Society of the SOUTH in Marietta.
